The Entrepreneurs Circle Annual Convention

On Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th September this year, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Elise and Merryn embarked on a journey to Birmingham for the Entrepreneurs Circle annual convention at the ICC. The convention buzzed with engaging talks, vibrant stalls, and mouth-watering food, promising us two eventful days!

When we first arrived the team at reception gave us a goody bag including the essential workbook we would need for the event and a pen, setting the tone for the insightful information we were about to absorb. The main hall boasted various stalls showcasing helpful businesses that we explored during breaks and lunch hours, connecting with new acquaintances and sharing life stories.

Our convention experience kicked off with Nigel's enlightening talk on handling procrastination and meeting deadlines. Over the two days, we delved into informative sessions on social media marketing and effective newsletter strategies.

We enjoyed hearing Nigel speak to his many guest speakers, including Richard Osmon who detailed how he started his business in the television industry creating numerous internationally successful game shows. He then also described the business side of writing and selling his novels, and how his journey has led him to becoming a celebrated author, igniting our creativity.

We also heard from the speakers Jake Humphrey and Damien Hughes who talked about their successful production company Whisper and The High Performance Podcast where they turn the lived experiences of the planet’s high performers into our life lessons. As the final speakers, their uplifting and informative talk left us energised with their insights on mental psychology in business, inspiring our team - spirits were high as we returned to Kettering!

Not only have we gained informative knowledge on how to better utilise our marketing services for our clients, but we also shared a new experience that will help us in the long run. We have taken away from the experience the values of persistence and resilience – two words that were echoing throughout the event and which will guide us as we approach our work this following week.
