Diversity and Inclusion Leader Award Nomination
Funnily enough, it isn’t every day that you get an email from the editor of one of the region’s biggest business magazines.
It certainly isn’t typical to then be told to get the glad-rags ready for Spring because you’ve made the final of one of the East Midlands BIGGEST awards events!
However, that’s what happened to Elizabeth, the CEO of Admin and More, last week as she was casually enjoying a cuppa.
TheBusinessDesk had got in touch with her to tell her that not only was our EmpowerAbility campaign featuring heavily on their website and newsletter it had also been singled out by a panel of judges who were sifting through hundreds of entries for their annual Leadership Awards.
There are 14 categories and we have been shortlisted in the Diversity and Inclusion leadership one.
The judging panel for this year’s awards were former winners Sara Boland of Influence Landscape Architects and Lawrie Moon of IDT, along with Robin Johnson from Marketing Derby, Nikki Paterson of the CBI and Tracy Harrison from Safe and Sound.
TheBusinessDesk.com’s Midlands editor Sam Metcalf, who chaired the panel, said:
“The standard of this year’s entrants was higher than ever, displaying the depth and breadth of the leadership talent in the East Midlands.
“I’d like to thank our judging panel for their time and expertise and wish all the shortlisted individuals all the best for our awards evening in March.”
Well, we’d like to thank you too Sam and all of the judges for considering us.
Supporting People With Disabilities Into Work
We believe that EmpowerAbility is a programme that has the power to transform thousands of lives and change the landscape and culture of the UK workplace. We’re aiming to raise £200,000 to create a more inclusive workforce by providing meaningful work placements for all individuals with disabilities. It will initially be run as a pilot project from our new Kettering HQ and if this is successful, we plan to expand across the country by collaborating with more businesses.
You can find out more about EmpowerAbility and support us here.
In the meantime, thank you for your support and cross your fingers for us in the final!
